Colors

The three primary colors are Red, Green, and Blue. Secondary colors are created by mixing primary colors. Tertiary colors are created by mixing secondary colors. subtractive color wheel, the center is usually (but not always) black (sometimes this is represented as brown), representing all colors of light being absorbed; in an additive color circle, on the other hand, the center is white or gray, indicating a mixture of different wavelengths of light. Color can affect our perception, if something is darker then we perceive it as being closer. Whereas if it was lighter we would perceive that is was closer. Colors can also affect each other, if you add white to a color you are decreasing the tint of the color. If you ad black to a color you are decreasing the shade of the color. Lastly if you add grey to a color then you decrease the tone. A greyscale image has a lot of different shades of grey:

Monotone pictures have the same colors with different shades

This Jersey is a good example of complementary colors with the purple and yellow.
